Brother Gary Hollandsworth
began serving the church
in Rocky Mount as full-time
evangelist and minister. We
are excited to have he and
Jan, already well known and
loved by our congregation,
joining us in the work.
Brother Gary Hollandsworth has been a member of the Lord's church for 50 years. His father was a Gospel Preacher for 37 years and his brother also serves as a Minister. Gary holds a BA from Roanoke College and an MBA from Averett University.
Gary brings a wealth of knowledge having served in management in secular work, and as a deacon at Oak Level Rd. church of Christ in Bassett, VA and as an elder at Collinsville church of Christ in Collinsville, VA. Prior to coming to Rocky Mount Gary served as interim minister for the Collinsville church of Christ from Jan 2008 until June 2010. With his unique teaching style, he has spken at numerous congregations over the years. He serves as Chaplain for the Colonel George Waller chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Gary is married to the former Janice (Jan) Plott. They have one daughter Beth Shulam a homemaker in Mt. Juliet, TN and one son Burt Hollandsworth, a Chemistry Professor at Harding University in Searcy AK. They have four grandsons Joey, Will, JJ, and Charlie.
